Reaching the Unreached – Strengthening Our Communities

About Us

Ritha Foundation is a non-profit organization (NPO) dedicated to empowering underserved communities in South Africa, particularly in Gauteng. Established under its constitution on October 18, 2016, the foundation operates as a body corporate, existing independently from its members.

It can own property, enter contracts, and pursue legal actions in its own name. The organization focuses on sustainable development, education, and social upliftment, aiming to foster self-sufficiency and resilience among vulnerable groups.

Our Mission

The Ritha Foundation exists to forge a future where poverty is not merely managed, but dismantled. We believe in a South Africa where every community is the author of its own destiny. Our mission is to be a catalyst for this transformation, building from the ground up and radiating outward.

Our commitment is to:

Root Ourselves in Accountability: Our legitimacy is earned through unwavering partnership with the communities we serve. We listen, we learn, and we are accountable not to our own agenda, but to their wisdom, their needs, and their aspirations.

Amplify a Collective Voice: We strive to strengthen the profile and influence of the marginalized. By uniting local experiences into a powerful national chorus, we ensure that the voices from the front lines of poverty shape the policies and conversations that determine their future.

Cultivate Shared Investment: We build bridges of trust and purpose, inviting government, donors, and the public to become co-investors in a vision of a more equitable South Africa. We channel this collective support into sustainable, community-driven solutions.

Forge Alliances for Action: We recognize that complex challenges demand collective will. We actively build networks of partners, believing that our shared strength and diverse perspectives are the most powerful engine for meaningful, large-scale impact.
